Welcome to my very First Blog.... =) To tell you honestly, I created this blog of mine in the midst of creating my God-forsaken Economics essay..... Out of boredom probably....I don't know how start it....I mean I already have all the materials that I needed...Its just that I really can't start creating something without any kind of motivation to pump me out.....And to tell you honestly, I don't really fancy this subject....but I'm doing my best...
Well, since its my first time to post something in this blog which I created 5hours ago (if i'm not mistaken)......I will start with telling a lil bit about myself first..... =)
Sooo innocent
The kid on the picture above was born on My 29, 1991 in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, Philippines....He descended from a mixed race (mostly composed of Chinese, Filipino, Spanish and British) ancestry.
Both of my parents came from an old chinese family who migrated to the Philippines during the Spanish Colonial Period. Since what I fondly refer to as "royal blood preservation" is not really practiced by chinese during that time (most of them even prefer to marry a spanish or native filipino in order for them to have the right of owning properties), the supposed-to-be dominant chinese blood my family used to have has gradually decreased over the next generation......Nowadays, only few of my relatives posseses the chinese characteristics......
Filipino ofcourse cause I was born in the Philippines. No further explanations....
Spanish and British....I'm not sure with this one....well, my grandma (my dad's mom) is a mestiza (i don't know if this is the way spell the damn word)......some of my relatives claim that she is half british.....but the simple connotation of being a "mestiza" apparently means that she's supposed to be half spanish....that's why I'm not sure.... and by grandpa (my mom's dad) descended from a chinese family in Vigan but by simply looking at him, there's no way that you will find any traces of being a chinese in him.....he's more of a half spanish half filipino .......
That's basically the explanation of my very Filipino mixed heritage....(being a mixed is very common among the Filipinos, there's nothing really unusuall about it)....
Almost 18 years later, after countless packs of cigarettes and liters of beer, whiskey, rhum and wine that this innocent little boy has consumed..... I guess nobody would expect that he would look something like this:
