this is the question that's been haunting me since the day I arrived here in Malaysia....
what does this word mean????
well, as far as i know.....these are usually the last words chinese people say in ending an english sentence.....or to make an english sentence shorter.....
like....
No La!!
- When one's trying to say no.....
Sexy la!!
- When one's trying to say that a person is sexy......
what else???
uhm, i have a friend, we decided to go to a restaurant near school to have lunch.....just before going down to the staircase he them remembered that one of our classmates (yi peng) was not yet with us.....so then he asked, "Yi Peng La?".
I think he meant "Where's Yi peng?" but the thing is.....I don't know what's the use of that word "la".....
Here's another one,.... My friend and I were talking about about our statistics assignment.....She asked me, "Hey man! Are you done with your assignment already??". "Yeah! You?", I immediately replied. She said no then I asked her why....she said, "LAAAZYY LLAAAHH!!!". complete with voice modulation and body gestures......lol
I've been itching to ask my friends about this.......But until now......I stil haven't found the moment.....so i just decided to post this question on my blog and ask the world instead....=)
so tell me, What does LA means????
