isn’t it not okay to violate somebody’s rights just in order to satisfy your freedom of choice? but why does some countries have these things legalized? why do they just look on what is apparent and perceivable and what is now and look at the future possible consequences of legalizing such things? that such legalization may cause or will definitely cause the violation of somebody else’s rights? the kind of right that is very basic to al of us: the right to live.
i have been watching this episode of one TV show that i really like and it just so happened that abortion became a part of their plot on this particular episode. and you know what, it deeply affected me because in that particular episode, they actually made abortion somewhat okay and not immoral at all. that a woman’s right to choose is way more important than another person’s life. it deeply saddened me because i just realized that i have been living in this make belief world that all educated people have the same outlook about this particular thing. that it is not okay to perform this and that it is inhumane. but now, i guess the world is not like what i envisioned it to be like.
philosophy 101: you can have all right that you want, as long us it does not violate other people’s right as well.
a woman has a right to do what’s best for her. she can do whatever she wants but she must not violate the right of the person growing inside of her if there is one. she must not do something that would serve detrimental to the baby’s life. and most of all, she must not terminate that baby’s life. because that, in itself, is a sole cold blooded violation of human rights.
